Indoor Athletics.
The Indoor Munster Athletic Championships were held in Nenagh over the past two weekends. Aisling Moloney from Toonagh did really well, finishing second in u12 girls 600m.

Cheoil an Gheimhridh.
Shona O'Halloran from Dysart, with Roisin Clancy, (CCE, Croisin) came first in the u17 Duet section at the Munster final of Cheoil an Gheimhridh held in Dromcollogher recently. Tierna Casey, with Lily Price, Eileen and Eoin Costelloe,(CCE, Clarecastle Ballyea) came second in the quartet u 13.


Apostolic Works Society.
The members of the local Apostolic Works Society are busily preparing for their annual display which will be held in Ruan Community Centre on Sun. 10th April. Anyone wishing to donate a sacred vessel to the Missions in memory of a loved one, which would be much appreciated, may contact Eileen Hannon, Eileen Roughan or Mary Marrrinan.

Bingo Nite.
Dysart trainee nurse, Claire McDonnell and her friend Aisling Sweeney from Connemara are travelling to the outback in Tanzania in May to work with people in need, in hospitals there. To fund their venture, they are holding a Bingo Nite in Purcell's Ruan on this Fri. 26th Feb at 7.30pm and look forward to the support of the community on the night. There will be lots of prizes and a raffle, and a fun night is guaranteed.

Holy Communion Preparation.
The first Preparation Ceremony for First Holy Communion will take place in Ruan Church on Sun. 28th Feb. at 10am mass and in Dysart Church on Sat. 5th March at 6.30am mass.

Recent Deaths.
Mass will be celebrated in St. Tola's Church, Dysart on this Sat. 27th Feb. at 6.30pm for the Month's Mind of Kitty Bond (nee Crowe) formerly of Dysart, who died recently in Canada.
The death has also taken place of Michael Finucane, in England, brother of Mattie of Ballybrody.
