Ruan GAA Club: The Ruan GAA club would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising campaign to date. The campaign’s objective is to raise funds needed to complete the development of our new stand, meeting room and gym. 

If you would like to donate, please contact any club officer or follow the instructions on the letters previously delivered to all parishioners. This development is a wonderful facility in our club and community and we hope people will get behind us one last time to raise the funds needed to fully complete it.

Cahercalla Hospice Coffee Morning: Ruan Community Centre will be the venue for a Coffee morning to raise funds for Cahercalla Hospice on this Thursday, Sept. 19. YOUTH MINISTRY LEADER TRAINING: Killaloe Diocese Youth Ministry will hold a Youth Ministry leader training course in the autumn in Carrigoran Wellness Centre, Newmarket on Fergus, Co Clare. The outline of the course includes introduction to Youth Ministry, Focusing on Prayer, Special Liturgies, Youth Masses, Pastoral Care, Altar-serving training, Safeguarding and other areas. 

The course will take place on Wednesday nights beginning on the 18th Sep and continuing until 23rd October from 7.15pm to 9.15pm each night.

Ruan Camogie
A great year for the Ruan u14 Camogie team saw them reach and draw the county u14 A championship final. Unfortunately the replay did not go their way, however a wonderful achievement by a fantastic group of girls, doing our parish proud.
Best wishes and Good Luck to the 4 girls from the Ruan Camogie Club (Aoife Anderson, Kate Forde, Sinead Hastings and Emily Whelan) who will be representing us proudly when they line-out for Clare in Dublin, at the inter-county all Ireland u14 Camogie Blitz this weekend.

Finding Freedom: A day of Contemplation & exploration with Denis Crosby.  

Our lives today are full of preoccupations and enslavements. Where can we find a more spacious and free place to be? This day will explore this question through conversation and contemplation. Venue Carrigoran Health and wellness Centre Newmarket on Fergus, on Saturday 25th Nov.  From 10 am to 3 pm, Cost €20. Booking essential before 17th Nov. Please see poster on Noticeboard.


Senior Citizens Christmas Party: The annual senior citizens Christmas party will be held on Sun. 3rd Dec. in Morty’s.  All are welcome for an afternoon of good food, plenty of music and good company.


Zumba classes have resumed in Toonagh Hall on Thursday nights at 8.15pm. These classes were very popular last year as a fun way to keep fit and all are welcome.
