In these times we encourage you to have a new appreciation for the beautiful world around us. We also invite you to keep an eye out for the events being organised by Killaloe Diocese Justice, Peace and Care of Creation committee to mark this special time.

Positive Ageing:  As part of National Positive Ageing Week, the Clare Older Persons Forum (COPF), extends an open infitation to seniors to attend the Older Person of the Year award ceremony and celebration at the Temple Gate Hotel, Ennis, on Tuesday next, 26th September from 2.30pm. Light refreshments served, followed by entertainment with Davy Howard, soloist, and the Forever Young choir.

Praying With Scripture:  A Praying with Scripture weekend takes place from Oct 13th - 15th in Knock House Hotel and the speakers are Fr. Seamus O Connell and Dr. Jessie Rogers (lecturers in Scripture at St. Patrick’s College Maynooth).  Early booking is advised.

The Seniors Alert Scheme funded via Pobal, encourages community support for vulnerable older people in our communities through the provision of personal monitored alarms to enable older persons to continue to live securely in their homes with confidence, independence and peace of mind. Grants are available for the cost of the alarm and its installation through Pobal. The applicant is only responsible for payment of the annual monitoring charge.
